GOBSKI

Listen to GOBSKI

Gobski was a quintet comprising of Sarah Gosling, Amanda Owen, Michelle Brisbane, Jean McConnachie and Jane Coker playing piano accordion, soprano sax, guitar, violin and baritone sax respectively. Their stage counterparts Boris, Yorris, Turgid, Janos and Schtum met on a cold railway station in the north east of Konvenia. They were all heading for the support group for bad accents taking place in Pronooncia and at once felt an affinity with one another. "We could play gypsy music together and no one would ever be able to tell we had this deficiency of speech" Turgid suggested.

"We have experience" Yorris piped up " in the past we have all been involved with lots of different bands between us - The Sharons, Nice Girls Don't Spit, The Office Party, Spindrift, Cravanserai, The Peace Artistes, Cascades, Torn Kilts, Loose Lariats, Misguided Angels to name a few"

"Let's do it" shouted Boris and a few passengers on that lonely freezing railway station turned their heads but the boys were not to be thwarted. They now travel the world playing klezmer and gypsy music. Just beware the accents have not got any better.
